Mr. Gagne has more than 17 years experience and is currently Managing Director of the Global Family Office Group within Scotiabank.  He is our lead relationship development strategist in Quebec.

Mr. Gagne has extensive background in cross-border transactions, asset allocation, wealth preservation, and wealth structuring, in the context of advising single-family offices. Prior to his current role, he was Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of a prominent European single-family office based in Singapore, and he remained the Trusted Advisor to the family for more than 9 years. Mr. Gagne has also worked closely with other single-family offices in Asia-Pacific. He served as Executive Vice President of a Belgian single-family office in Hong Kong, and as Executive Vice President of a healthcare start-up alongside the Founder, who is the Principal of an Australian single-family office, also based in Hong Kong.

Mr. Gagne received a Master in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford, a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University and a Master of Business Administration from Universite Laval. He graduated from HEC Montreal with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy. Mr. Gagne is a CFA Charterholder, a CAIA Charterholder, a lawyer (New York-qualified) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (Quebec).

He spent the earlier part of his career with BMO in Montreal in the investment banking division, and with the law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell in New York as a tax attorney. Prior to that, he was Manager of the Financial Advisory Services practice of Deloitte in Montreal.
