Mr. Maurice joined ScotiaMcLeod in 1975 and over the years his integrity, sound judgement, and knowledge have earned him the trust and loyalty of investors.

Starting from modest means with a fierce passion for the stock market, Jacques joined Scotia Wealth Management (then McLeod Young Weir) in 1975 when he graduated from Université de Montreal (HEC). He was quickly recognized as a leader in the firm. Jacques is known for his unwavering dedication to the well-being of his clients and his team; his integrity, honesty, humility, and clear focus have earned him the trust and loyalty of investors. Now 50 years later, he is still passionate and actively involved with his team. Jacques continues to serve his clients and oversees a team of 25 professionals and almost $12 billion of assets under management. Although he works with some of the most successful individuals in Canada, he remains humble and has kept the human touch that he is known for.

Outside of the office, Jacques is a proud father to three successful children, Louis-Philippe Maurice, Guillaume Maurice, and Rosemarie Bertrand, and a proud grandfather of seven. He passed on his passion for investment management to Guillaume who is now a Portfolio Manager, and Rosemarie who is an integral member of the group. He is also an active philanthropist who has been recognized numerous times for his generosity and contributions to the community.
