Charles co-founded GWAVA Inc. in 2001 which grew to a global cybersecurity company with customers in over 40 countries. GWAVA was acquired by UK-based Micro Focus International PLC, which was more recently acquired by Canada’s OpenText in 2023.

Today, Charles is focused on investing in innovative entrepreneurs through Pointe Picard Capital and in philanthropy through his work with the Fondation de l’Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal. He sits on board’s executive and investment committees, and is working to establish a permanent research chair in artificial intelligence. Charles also advises high-tech companies to devise go-to-market strategies, find partnership opportunities and to consult on pending acquisitions.
